Building a Careers Experience to Inspire Talent in Energy Innovation
The objective was to design a careers platform that showcased National Grid’s critical role in delivering energy infrastructure for a sustainable future. The brief emphasized attracting engineers, innovators, and future leaders who are passionate about shaping the energy landscape. We focused on simplifying complex energy topics, creating a visually clear and purposeful journey that aligned with National Grid’s commitment to a cleaner, smarter grid. By highlighting innovation, social impact, and a sense of mission, we aimed to engage candidates who want to drive positive change in the energy sector.

Leading Design & Shaping New Interaction Models for Candidate Discovery
My role was to lead the design of the careers experience, working closely with the client and internal teams to bring National Grid’s vision to life. As the primary design contact, I guided presentations and design direction while collaborating across development and planning to ensure alignment. I also worked hands-on with the senior design team to shape key page structures and user journeys.
A key part of the project involved contributing to a conversational, AI-driven navigation model—designed to simplify exploration and help candidates discover content more intuitively, making a complex organisation feel more accessible.
